Subscriber Update: Quality on JPG attachments

Hi Tony,

I am preparing an image for my next emailer and as I always do I send a copy to myself using my mail package to see how it will look. The insert you see below comes through to me looking soft and unsharp even though it is based on exactly the sme artwork that I have used for my last 2 bikinemail emailers. Am I doing something wrong in the preparation of the file or is it something else?
Can you have a look at this and my previous mailers sent with you and get back to me...I am at my wits end! Cheers!

Hi richard.... When you insert hi quality JPGs as attchments, your email package compresses them down to send it quickly... it is then "unpacked" at the recipients end for display. trouble is its now low quality and looks rough.
the reason the img retains its quality using bikiniEmail is that its coming stright from our web server - completely untouched - so the sharpness / colour depth quality is retained...
when you set up the template on bikinemail the img will look as it should.
I'll post this up on the news site, in case anyone else is having the same issues.

IPC Media has launched a new monthly magazine today: goodtoknow Recipes.
'A brand extension from the hugely successful www.goodtoknow.co.uk. goodtoknow Recipes hits the newsstand today priced £2.20.

The food monthly will target busy mums aged between 25 and 44, providing them with cooking inspiration, plus tips and advice to feed their families cheaply, quickly and healthily. Its 100 pages will be packed full of recipes, in addition to weekly meal plans, quick solutions and offers.'

Art directors move frequently, switchboards are busy, and there are so many to phone and check it would take forever to do it myself
It's a lot quicker than sending postcards. probably 3,500 times quicker in my case
A friend of mine uses you, and I saw one of your email promotions
the site is easy, efficient, time saving and straightforward
I started in January 2009, and had my best quarter for years...
In April, an art director rang the morning after I sent out a campaign with an immediate commission. That commission paid my annual bikinilist spend.
